Cookies on this site
The short version: we don't use advertising cookies, and we don't follow you around other websites. The only thing we'd like to do is count visits, and that only happens if you say yes.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Some are needed for a site to remember something you've chosen. Others are there to count visitors. The law treats those differently, and so do we.
What this site sets
Before you press anything, this site sets nothing. After that:
- cookie_consent
- Remembers whether you pressed Accept or Reject, so we don't ask you again on every page.
- Kept by this site in your browser's own storage (it isn't a cookie, and it is never sent anywhere) when you press either button. Lasts 12 months, then we ask again.
- _ga
- Tells one visitor from another, so someone coming back isn't counted twice.
- Set by Google Analytics, only if you press Accept. Lasts 24 months.
- _ga_ET5ZV4BB9Z
- Keeps track of the current visit.
- Set by Google Analytics, only if you press Accept. Lasts 24 months.
That's the lot. We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we don't sell anything about you.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site, which pages they look at, and how many go on to call us, email us or send the enquiry form. It counts visits. It doesn't tell us who you are, and we never send it your phone number, your email address or anything you type into the form.
Google does get the technical details any website you visit gets, such as your IP address and the kind of device and browser you're using. What Google does with those is covered by its own privacy policy.
It only runs if you press Accept on the cookie message at the bottom of the screen. Press Reject and nothing loads, on this page or any other, now or next time, until you change your mind.
Saying no changes nothing about using the site. Calling, emailing, the enquiry form and the photos all work exactly the same either way.
Changing your mind
Whatever you chose, you can change it. Saying no later is as easy as saying yes was.
You can also clear this site's data in your browser settings, which wipes your choice and Google's cookies along with it. On a phone that's usually under Settings, then Privacy.
Links to other sites
The Facebook link and the link to our web developer go to other companies' sites. What they do once you're there is covered by their own policies, not this one.
